Policy Overview

A Clearer Way to Make It Right

RideAura aims to make eligible returns and exchanges straightforward while protecting the quality, safety, and integrity of every product that enters or leaves our inventory.

01 / Timing

Request support within 30 calendar days.

The return window begins on the date your order is shown as delivered. Requests submitted after the 30-day window may not qualify unless the item is covered by another applicable product guarantee or a confirmed shipping issue.

02 / Condition

Products should remain clean, complete, and resalable.

Eligible items should be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and returned with their original packaging, manuals, accessories, protective materials, hardware, labels, and included components. A careful indoor fit check is acceptable when it does not create wear or alter the product.

03 / Authorization

Every return should be approved before shipment.

Please do not send a product back without receiving return instructions. An authorized return helps us confirm the correct destination, required packaging, shipping method, product documentation, and any special handling rules for batteries or oversized equipment.

04 / Inspection

Returned items are reviewed before resolution.

After arrival, the product is checked for completeness, condition, signs of installation or use, included accessories, serial information, and shipping damage. Approved refunds or exchanges are then completed according to the selected resolution and available inventory.

Return Process

Four Steps from Request to Resolution

Keep your order information, product packaging, and all included components available until the request has been reviewed and completed.

Step 01

Send Your Request

Provide your order number, the item you wish to return or exchange, the reason for the request, and clear photographs when condition, damage, compatibility, or missing components are involved.

Step 02

Receive Instructions

Our support team will confirm eligibility and provide the approved return method, packaging guidance, shipping label details, and any category-specific requirements.

Step 03

Pack and Ship

Place the complete item inside appropriate protective packaging, remove or cover old shipping labels, secure all loose parts, and use only the approved return shipping method.

Step 04

Inspection and Resolution

Once received, the item is inspected. Approved exchanges are arranged based on stock, while approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Eligibility Guide

What Usually Qualifies

Eligibility depends on timing, condition, completeness, product type, and whether the item has been installed, ridden, activated, modified, washed, damaged, or otherwise used beyond a reasonable indoor inspection.

01

Unused Products

Generally eligible within 30 days

The item should be clean, complete, uninstalled, and returned with original packaging, accessories, manuals, labels, and protective components.

02

Indoor Fit Checks

Eligible when no wear is created

Helmets, bags, mounts, and similar products may be checked carefully indoors when the inspection does not scratch, deform, soil, alter, or remove required packaging and labels.

03

Installed Accessories

Reviewed individually

Products showing clamp marks, adhesive use, cut straps, tightened hardware, electrical connection, programming, or other installation evidence may not qualify as unused merchandise.

04

Ridden Mobility Products

Normally not eligible as unused

Bicycles, electric bikes, and electric scooters that have been ridden outdoors, registered, modified, damaged, or used beyond basic inspection may not qualify for a standard change-of-mind return.

05

Damaged or Incorrect Items

Report promptly after delivery

Retain the carton, shipping materials, labels, and all product components. Photographs of the package, item, damage, model information, and shipping label may be required.

06

Final-Sale Merchandise

Not eligible unless defective

Products clearly identified as final sale, non-returnable, personalized, or specially configured are excluded from standard change-of-mind returns unless required by applicable law.

Product-Specific Guidance

Different Equipment Needs Different Care

Cycling and mobility products vary greatly in size, safety function, installation method, electrical components, and packaging requirements.

Large Equipment

Bicycles

Bicycles should remain unridden outdoors, unregistered, unmodified, clean, and protected inside the original shipping carton with all included components.

  • Keep frame and fork protection
  • Include pedals, tools, manuals, and hardware
  • Avoid scratches from assembly or storage
  • Photographs may be required before return
Powered Mobility

Electric Bikes

Electric bicycles require additional review because batteries, electrical systems, serial information, activation, and specialized shipping rules may apply.

  • Do not ship a battery without authorization
  • Retain battery keys and charging equipment
  • Include display, controls, and original parts
  • Follow the approved battery shipping method
Compact Mobility

Electric Scooters

Scooters should remain free from road wear, tire debris, impact marks, registration, modification, and outdoor riding evidence.

  • Return the charger and included tools
  • Secure folding and steering components
  • Do not ship the battery separately
  • Retain all molded packaging supports
Safety Equipment

Bike Helmets

Helmets may be returned only when they remain unused, unimpacted, clean, unmodified, and free from sweat, odor, hair products, dirt, or strap wear.

  • Indoor fit checks should remain brief
  • Keep tags and internal packaging intact
  • Never return a crash-involved helmet
  • Do not remove or alter safety labels
Mounted Accessories

Lights, Mounts and Security

Clamp marks, cut straps, used adhesive, paired software, programmed alarms, damaged locks, or altered hardware may affect return eligibility.

  • Include keys, remotes, cables, and mounts
  • Reset connected devices when instructed
  • Keep adhesive pads unused when possible
  • Include every spacer and fastener
Soft and Utility Goods

Bags, Tools and Repair Kits

Bags should remain clean and free from road debris, odor, stains, cut straps, or attachment wear. Tool kits should include every original piece.

  • Empty every pocket and compartment
  • Include rain covers and mounting straps
  • Return complete tool and patch sets
  • Do not return used consumable materials

Inspection Standard

What We Review After Arrival

Inspection helps confirm whether the returned product matches the approved request and remains eligible for the selected refund or exchange.

01
Product Identity

The model, variation, serial information, quantity, and included components are compared with the original order and return request.

02
Use and Installation

We review surfaces, tires, clamps, fasteners, straps, electrical connections, protective films, labels, and contact points for signs of use or installation.

03
Completeness

Manuals, chargers, keys, cables, adapters, remotes, brackets, tools, hardware, covers, and packaging components should be included.

04
Transit Condition

Packaging and product condition are reviewed for damage caused by insufficient protection, loose components, unapproved carriers, or incorrect battery handling.

Resolution Options

Choose the Right Next Step

Availability, product condition, payment processing, shipping status, and the reason for return determine which resolutions can be offered.

01 / Exchange

Replace the Size or Model

Eligible items may be exchanged for another available size, color, variation, or compatible option. Exchanges are subject to inventory and are not reserved until the original item has been approved according to the provided instructions.

02 / Refund

Return to the Original Payment Method

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Financial institutions may require additional processing time after the refund has been submitted by RideAura.

03 / Replacement

Resolve Damage or Fulfillment Errors

When an item arrives damaged, incomplete, defective, or different from the ordered product, an approved replacement may be arranged after the issue and available inventory have been verified.

Delivery Issues

Document the Package Before Discarding It

Shipping cartons, internal protection, labels, and photographs can be essential when resolving damage, missing components, incorrect items, or visible carrier handling concerns.

Damaged on Arrival

Stop assembly or installation when damage is discovered. Keep the product, box, labels, and every packaging component in their received condition.

  • Photograph all sides of the shipping carton
  • Capture the shipping label clearly
  • Photograph the damaged area and full product
  • Include model and serial information when available

Incorrect Product

Do not install, activate, register, ride, or modify an incorrect product. Keep all protective packaging and included accessories together.

  • Photograph the product and packaging label
  • Confirm the model, size, color, and quantity received
  • Keep internal packaging and protective films
  • Wait for approved return instructions

Missing Components

Review every compartment, molded support, accessory box, documentation envelope, and packaging insert before reporting an item as missing.

  • List each missing part clearly
  • Photograph all received contents together
  • Include the manual parts list when available
  • Retain the complete package during review

Possible Product Defect

Stop using equipment that appears unsafe, unstable, electrically abnormal, structurally damaged, or inconsistent with the product instructions.

  • Describe when and how the issue appeared
  • Provide photographs or a short video when requested
  • Do not open sealed electrical components
  • Do not attempt unapproved repairs or modifications
Return Packing

Protect the Product in Transit

Return packaging should prevent movement, abrasion, impact, moisture exposure, loose hardware, and contact between delicate surfaces or electrical components.

01 / Original Box

Reuse Protective Packaging

Use the original carton, molded supports, frame protection, inserts, bags, and component boxes whenever possible. Large mobility products may require their original packaging to qualify for return shipping.

02 / Loose Parts

Separate and Secure Hardware

Place tools, pedals, bolts, adapters, chargers, keys, remotes, brackets, and other loose items inside clearly contained packaging so they cannot scratch or strike the main product.

03 / Exterior

Prepare a Clean Shipping Surface

Remove or fully cover old labels and barcodes. Apply the approved return label to a flat exterior surface without placing tape over the scannable barcode.

04 / Batteries

Follow Special Instructions

Lithium batteries and powered mobility products must be shipped only according to the instructions provided for the approved return. Never send a loose, damaged, swollen, leaking, or unauthorized battery.

Common Questions

Returns Explained Clearly

Review these answers before sending a product back. All questions remain collapsed until selected.

Important: This page provides the general RideAura returns and exchange framework for eligible U.S. orders. Approved instructions for your specific order take priority when product size, battery handling, carrier restrictions, damage, or other special circumstances apply.
When does the 30-day return period begin?
The 30-day period begins on the date the order is shown as delivered to the shipping address. Submit the request before the end of the 30th calendar day and keep the product, packaging, and included components available while the request is reviewed.
Are eligible returns free within the United States?
RideAura provides free return shipping for approved, eligible U.S. returns when the authorized label and instructions are used. Unapproved shipping, premium services, incorrect packaging, missed carrier requirements, or unauthorized battery shipment may not be covered.
Can I return an item after installing it?
Installation may create marks, stretch straps, use adhesive, alter hardware, pair electronics, or otherwise change the product from its original condition. Installed items are reviewed individually and may not qualify for a standard change-of-mind return.
Can I return a bicycle or scooter after riding it?
Products ridden outdoors normally no longer qualify as unused merchandise. Tire wear, road debris, registration, activation, scratches, assembly marks, battery cycles, and other evidence of use may affect eligibility. Confirm fit, size, and compatibility before outdoor use.
Can I exchange an item for a different size or model?
Eligible products may be exchanged for an available size, color, variation, or compatible model. Inventory is not guaranteed and price differences may need to be resolved before the replacement can be completed.
When will an approved refund appear?
After the returned item is received and approved, the refund is submitted to the original payment method. Your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional time to display the completed credit.
What happens if accessories or packaging are missing?
Missing chargers, keys, tools, brackets, remotes, adapters, hardware, protective materials, manuals, or original packaging may delay inspection, affect exchange eligibility, reduce the refundable value, or prevent the return from being approved.
Can I send a lithium battery back by itself?
Do not ship a lithium battery separately unless RideAura has provided specific authorization and compliant shipping instructions. Damaged, swollen, leaking, overheated, or otherwise unsafe batteries require special handling and must not be placed into ordinary return shipping.
What should I do if my package arrives damaged?
Stop assembly or use, keep the full package, and photograph the carton, shipping label, protective materials, complete item, and damaged areas. Report the issue promptly so the available replacement, return, carrier, or parts resolution can be reviewed.
